SiGMA To Focus On Expansion In The Middle East

SiGMA, which was launched in 2014 dealt with a niche of opportunity within the local iGaming market. They have had tremendous success over the years and from 2015 had been organizing a ground-breaking show and doubling their numbers. Last years’ edition had been particularly well received by the international community and has since become a world-class event with an elite selection of delegates, policymakers and thought leaders pouring in from across the globe. Sigma slowly is inching towards truly becoming the world’s iGaming village. CEO of Sigma, Eman Pulis said,

The Malta AI and Blockchain Summit, which was the show that was organized was dedicated towards the development of the blockchain sphere. It also functioned as the launch-pad for 3 key pieces of government regulation on blockchain and DLT, and the initiation of a government A.I. task force. This year,  Malta AI & Blockchain Summit is slated to host two major shows in the same year as well as add new verticals into its remit. The show aims to attract a truly global crowd of exhibitors by boosting its offering to include A.I., Quantum Tech, IoT and Big Data.

The company has also launched a Medical Cannabis Summit, which is essentially a platform to enable researchers and regulators to explore the revolutionary ability of the cannabis industry to boost economic growth and revitalise the health industry. The event will lay the foundations for an evolutionary leap in medical cannabis as the worlds of science, technology, and agri-business converge.

These efforts by Malta is in tandem with the atmosphere that exists in the country when it comes to the adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Pulis has also said that the company will be spearheading a new division in Dubai, which he will be leading. This move is to take advantage of an expanding interest in the Middle East for this emerging technology and its potential to rejuvenate the economy and shake up governance. While Malta continues its focus on regulation, the Emirates and its neighbouring states are looking at blockchain with fresh eyes, giving the company the space it needs to flourish.

Rounding off an ambitious expansion plan, 2020 will also set the stage for the launch of SIGMA in the Philippines, with the event making its Asian debut in Manila.”
