By Rishma Banerjee

After the launch of SportsFix Sponsorship Model, two months ago, SportsFix, a mobile based live streaming platform for sports fans in is now collaborating with the ProximaX Sirius platform, and using blockchain technology to tokenize their Digital StadiumTM. SportsFix which over the last two months has witnessed massive growth, is starting with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Finals in December. It has added 250,000 new users on two platforms,  the OTT and the ICO platforms.

SportsFix is expecting the creation of 75,000 new wallets with the upcoming six days long BWF World Tour Finals, for the Digital StadiumTM, thus contributing considerably to the 80,000 wallets that have already been created during the platform’s ICO.

Carl Kirchhoff, the CEO of SportsFix, welcomed the partnership with ProximaX and said,

“ProximaX allows us to achieve our vision of the Digital Stadium tremendously faster while giving us the flexibility to use both off-chain and on-chain solutions to tokenize live game content, something we could not do with Ethereum. Building our new OTT 2.0 sports platform allows us adding 10,000-15,000 new non-crypto users into the crypto universe on a weekly basis, accelerating mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies in media like never experienced before.”

Digital StadiumTM’s tokenization is a landmark event in the creation of a token economy using a live game. This is to be powered by those brands which sponsor the stadium during the span of the game, and there will be provisions for the supply of tokens for fans which he/she can earn by watching a game as well as by making comments, stating predictions, and spending tokens at the sponsor’s marketplace.

CEO of ProximaX, Lon Wong is of the opinion that the collaboration will eventually be a milestone in the history of mass adoption of crypto.

“As part of this wide-ranging partnership, ProximaX is making a strategic investment into SportsFix. We believe the growth potential of sports in Asia and SportsFix’s unique business model will serve as catalysts for both mainstream and business adoption, as more brands sponsor games and users create ProximaX based wallets to use in the Digital Stadium.”
