Michael Keaton To Star As John McAfee, In A Movie About His Life

John McAfee was a crypto advocate web the millions creating antivirus software. In an upcoming movie based on his controversial life, Michael Keaton has been roped into six the man himself, instead of Johnny Depp as was initially identified.

However, all hadn’t been as smooth sailing as it now seems with regards to selecting the final and main cast for the film titled “King of the Jungle”. McAfee has been key to the entire process so far, and it was due to his unhappiness with the selection of Johnny Depp, that led to the recasting of Micheal Keaton. McAfee reportedly wanted Morgan Freeman to play the role but was satisfied with Keaton’s involvement.

When asked as to why he wanted a replacement for Depp who had been on the project for the better part of a year, McAfee said,

“The pussy couldn’t handle my drugs. Keaton will have no problem.”

Seth Rogan, who also stars in the movie is supposed to play Wired magazine reporter, played, who on being sent to cover a routine story but encountered McAfee to realize that it’s not that at all.

This is not the first time that the outspoken entrepreneur’s life will be adapted for the silver screen. In 2016, Nanette Burnstein directed a documentary titled Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee. However, McAfee has claimed that it was complete fiction.

Depp was not available for comments, but it’s quite clear that this interest about the crypto market has piqued as is evident from his joining hands with TaTaTu

Depp, of Edward Scisg6sorhands and Pirates of the Caribbean fame, had been linked early with this year with a new film said to be a biopic of the late. Although it wasn’t confirmed, sources revealed that Depp was understood to be interested in the role and that “there is a screenplay being shopped”.

Depp has also signed with TaTaTu, a Cryptocurrency based media platform, which is trying to acquire stars to work on their upcoming projects. Depp was reportedly happy to be able to work with TaTaTu, and said,

“In this era of democratized entertainment, I admire the imaginative ethos of Andrea and look forward to collaborating together in a liberating, progressive manner that will befit the principals of our respective entities.”
