Do you Know About The Sun Network’s Expansion Plans?

Blockchain-based decentralized application (DApp) platform Tron has recently revealed their plans for the expansion of their second layer scalability solution, the Sun Network. As per a release published on Monday, April 8, the network’s testnet will be launched in late May. The Sun Network expansion plan includes developing DApp sidechains and cross-chain infrastructure. The second layer protocol is supposed to increase the overall capacity of Tron’s network, and simultaneously enable DApps to run with extremely low energy consumption and high security.

The first phase, which is all set to start on May 30, Tron will be focussing on launching sidechain smart contracts. The official launch of Sun Network mainnet, which will further enhance, emphasize and highlight the characteristics of decentralization and asset security, is set for Aug. 10.

In mid-September, Tron has plans to launch an optimization process in order to improve the ease with which the network is used. It will also facilitate the easy deployment of the sidechains.

Tron founder and CEO Justin Sun had taken part in The Crypto Chick podcast, on April 6 and had hinted that the Tron ecosystem will officially collaborate with Ethereum (ETH) later this year. However, no other detail regarding the same has been provided.

During the same podcast, Sun said that the Tron-based version of stablecoin Tether (USDT) is set to launch on April 9. He revealed that the Tron-based version of the stalwart stablecoin will permit cheaper and faster transactions than the Bitcoin (BTC)-based Omni protocol, USDT.

Earlier in April, the Tron Foundation had decided to ask developers to get rid of gambling DApps from the Japanese market so as to be in compliance with the local regulations. As gambling has generally been prohibited by the Japanese criminal code, the company urged local developers not to launch any such apps on the company’s platform.
