John McAfee Flees U.S. for Alleged Tax Fraud

John Mcafee, the US presidential candidate, and a business tycoon has recently uploaded a video on his Twitter account. According to the video, McAfee is living in an exile on a boat after the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) charged him on Tax evasion frauds of felonious nature.

John, a long-term crypto advocate who was going to run for the President in 2020, is in a rocking boat (quite literally!). He has been charged by the IRS for using cryptocurrencies in criminal activities along with four other 2020 Presidential candidates.

McAfee Running Presidential Campaign in Exile

John in his Twitter video talks about various aspects of his life, his tryst with the IRS and him evading the taxes. He says that he hadn’t paid any taxes in 8 years and he has not made it a secret or tried to hide it.

McAfee believes that IRS wants to silence him which he would not allow. He says, he would run his campaign from exile but won’t bow down to the authorities. He said,

‘“They want to silence me and I will not allow that, I am running my campaign in exile on this boat for the duration — I will not allow them to imprison me and shut my voice down, which they will do immediately — Why? I am a flight risk. Obviously, I am in flight,”

John further detailed in his video that he would continue to be in exile and run his campaign from his vote. He would release a video every day from the exile and he believes as long as he is on the run, the tax agencies cannot officially charge him. In another tweet he said,

“Today a grand jury was convened by the IRS to indict Janice and me and four various unnamed campaign workers for various tax fraud issues.”

McAfee Became A Target Because Of His Anti-Taxation Statements

John is a vocal crypto advocate and has often talked against taxation and how the governments are fooling us and looting money out of our pockets in return of nothing. Only this January, he has dared the IRS to come after him and he refuses to pay any taxes. Here’s an excerpt from the tweet,

I’m challenging the agency responsible for fueling our Government’s madness — the IRS. The IRS will not sit idly by. I know this. But I have prepared my entire life for this battle.

The Crypto advocate believes blockchain and censorship-resistant cryptocurrencies are the future of economies. He concluded,

“Cryptocurrencies is one of these technologies and probably the most dramatic to have occurred in human history since the invention of fire — Because of cryptocurrencies free the individual from the yoke of currency controlled by governments.”
