The blockchain sector in India is booming and growing at a rapid pace. Tech entrepreneurs are flooding the market with new startups that aim to inculcate blockchain technology in various sectors. Despite the government’s ambivalent stance on crypto, blockchain is one such technology which has been widely accepted and welcomed by the Indian governemnt and various industries.

This revolutionary technology is breathing a new life into the startup culture of India. On that note, let’s take a look at 8 startups that are doing great work with this revolutionary technology:

Recordskeeper

Recordskeeper is a great platform for immutable data storage for record keeping & data security, that is powered by blockchain technology. The ecosystem that this platform has created offers secure transfer, authorization, integrity, and authenticity of data. Founded in 2015, by Toshendra Sharma, this is a reliable platform that offers authenticity and integrity. Their headquarters is situated in Gurgaon.

XS

One’s identity is very precious to them, and in the day and age of internet, identity theft is a serious but rampant crime. XS is one such blockchain based platform that is offering a solution to this. It is creating a tool that will enable people to protect their digital identity by generating a unique identifier for each individual user on public blockchain infrastructure. A unique digital key will be offered to the user that can be used in every platform, therby eliminating the need to remember multiple passwords. It was founded by Hitesh Malviya in 2016 and is based out of Mumbai.

Coinsecure

Coinsecure is essentially an exchange that allows users to trade bitcoins in real time. It calls itself ‘India’s Bitcoin Exchange’. It has endevaoured to bring blockchain driven remittances in India by collaborating with OKLink earlier this year. Founded by Mohit Kalra and Benson Samuel in 2014, the exchange is based out of Delhi.

Signzy

Signzy is currently offering a digital on-boarding solution for banks, NBFCs and other financial institutions by leveraging blockchain technology to build APIs for multiple use cases. Services offered by them include document storage, signing, validation etc.. they claim in their mission statement that they are building a global digital trust system. Founded by Ankit Ratan, Arpit Ratan and Ankur Pandey back in 2015, the company is based out of Bangalore.

Primechain Technologies

With a mission to build blockchains for a better world, Primechain is offering 3 products, namely D.A.V.E or Data Authentication and Verification Engine, a private-blockchain powered technology platform for authentication, verification and storage of electronic records etc. They are currently working with companies like Microsoft, Intel & IBM. It was founded back in 2016 by Shinam Arora and is based out of Pune.

KrypC

KrypC is a startup that offers blockchain as a service. Along with providing customised solutions for the needs of different businesses, it also offers blockchain training to employess. They offer two core products- KrypCore and KrypChain. The first one is a codeless blockchain solution creation platform while the latter is is a high scale protocol hoping to meet the needs of advanced businesses. Ravi Jagannathan and Karthik Balasubramanian founded the company back in 2016 and it is based out of Bangalore.

EzyRemit

EzyRemit is a remittance platform that has been working towards developing various enterprise products using blockchain as the core technology. It offers solutions like cross border remittance, digital identity on blockchain, gift cards wallet on blockchain and digital certificate on blockchain. It is hoping to merge technology with the banking system. It was founded in 2015 by Vishal Anand and is based out of Bangalore.

SOMISH- Blockchain Solutions

SOMISH is a technology and product development company which was founde in 2006. They have been in the technology sector for a long time and have only recently started advocating the use of blockchain technology. They have worked on multiple blockchain use-cases. Founded by Mr. Shiv Goel in 2006, it is based out of Delhi.
