CryptoKitties, a platform that encourages people to learn more about alternate currencies, is soon to get an exhibit to itself in a German museum. ZKM Center for Art and Media is planning to create an exhibit which will use this game to explain the blockchain technology. CryptoKitties has for long made the public aware about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

The firm responsible for making these blockchain based collectibles cats, is Dappler Labs. Recently Dappler Labs has partnered with digital art firm Meural to launch the art exhibit at the ZKM Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany. The exhibit is called as “Bringing Blockchain to Life”  and it will showcase the functioning of blockchain technology in real time.

CryptoKitties, which debuted in November 2017, is not a cryptocurrency itself. However, it encourages people to use alternative currencies such as bitcoins and Ethereum as well as blockchain technology. It’s main vision is to raise awareness about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. CryptoKitties is also referred as crypto collectibles or non-fungible tokens. Like traditional artwork, every Kitty is different and has different valuation from six cents to six figures. A Crypto Kitty which was displayed at Christie’s Auction House, New York was sold for $140,000.

The platform became a quick hit but soon the activity slowed down after the craze for cryptocurrency had died down. As the craze for kitties increased, fans even went as far as to bid $200,000 to get rare kitties.

According to Roham Gharegozlou, cofounder, and CEO of CryptoKitties, artwork, good design and appealing aesthetics of kitties are responsible for introducing new audiences to the blockchain technology. The main goal of ZKM exhibit is to deconstruct blockchain technology so that people can understand and learrn from it. In the exhibition, people will get a chance to know about the complex dynamics of codes and how blockchain technology is shaping and can improve every aspect of our lives.

Meural’s Digital Art Canvases will display CryptoKitties as digital artwork. According to Vladimir Vukicevic, CEO of Meural, Meural Canvas is an ideal way for crypto enthusiasts to show off their collectibles.
