Craig Wright Ready To Testify Under Oath To Prove He is Satoshi Nakamoto

By Prashant Jha

Craig S Wright, the man behind the blockchain based nChain is predominantly known for making claims of being the pseudo-anonymous creator behind Bitcoin. Even After multiple failed attempts of promoting himself as the original creator behind Bitcoin, the man seems to be a troll and does not retreat even after several accusations.

Recently, when the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) reached out to him for his comments over the crypto market, the man reiterated he is Satoshi Nakamoto. His comments read,

“The amount of misunderstanding and fallacious information that has been propagated concerning Bitcoin and any derivative system based on a blockchain (such as and including Ethereum) has resulted in my choice to start to become more public. The system I created was designed in part to end fraud as best as that can be done with any technology. The lack of understanding about the functioning of blockchains has resulted in widespread misinformation and dissemination of old scams. Many of the former USENET and web IPOs scams have been propagated with the re-badging as an ICO.”

Craig has now said that he is willing to testify under oath, it is to be seen whether his request of testifying under oath will be granted or not.

Craig Wright Timeline of Claiming To Be Satoshi Nakamoto

Craig Wright’s rise to fame is only because of his claims of being the anonymous creator which has been debunked numerous times. His fascination with Satoshi has earned him the name of “faketoshi” in the crypto space.

The fascination began back in 2015 when two newspapers published a report saying the Australian programmer is the real inventor behind the phenomenon. Craig Wright came out with his set of evidence to prove his identity. However, many experts and analysts pointed out the regulations in his story.

The original white paper was analyzed and everyone reached to a conclusion that Craig Wright is anyone but Satoshi, as the thought process and writing styles of Craig and the original creator are poles apart.

He again tried to pass off as the Bitcoin creator, when a social media chat platform of Satoshi became active suddenly and sent out a cryptic message to another user. Satoshi banked on the moment and tweeted a cryptic message on the lines of the social media message. However, people were quick to point out that the account which belonged to Satoshi was hacked several years ago.

Very recently Wikileaks called him out a serial fabricator when he edited his 2001 documentation on the lines of Bitcoin white paper to establish himself as the creator. However, he was caught lying and just like his previous attempts, there were too many loopholes to be ignored.

Final Thoughts

The man is a habitual liar and serial fabricator, and his recent claims of testifying under oath are as true as the first one. I mean think of it, a guy whose only connection to the blockchain is his nChain venture, and still the best he is known for is falsely claiming to be someone who decided to remain anonymous.

His highly controversial Bitcoin SV blockchain has not seen an iota of development work for months since its separation from the main Bitcoin Cash blockchain. After failing to manipulate or crash the Bitcoin Cash network, the man is back at what he does, claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
