Craig Wright Fails To Disclose His Bitcoin Holdings
As per a statement by Devin Freedman of the law firm Boies Schiller Flexner made in a tweet on June 21, Bitcoin SV proponent Craig Wright, the defendant in a Bitcoin theft case, has failed to disclose his Bitcoin holdings.
As was reported earlier, Craig Wright had been ordered by a US court, to produce a list of his public Bitcoin address as of December 31, 2013. Freedman noted that as Wright had failed to comply with that directive, “he remains under an order to show cause why [Jude Florina] Reinhart shouldn’t issue sanctions” and order him to appear before Judge Beth Bloom in order “to explain why he shouldn’t be held in contempt.” His tweet read,
Reports claim that earlier this month, a Florida court gave a ruling which stated that Wright had committed perjury as his defence is contradictory to an affidavit he had previously submitted with an Australian court. As a result, along with several fines, he was facing up to five years in prison.
