Cardano To Have New Roadmap In April

By Prashant Jha

It seems that the Cardano project is looking at some brand new strategic changes. That is the idea that emerges out of a recent publication from the driving force behind this project or cryptocurrency, IOHK. IOHK or Input Output Hong Kong has revealed that the new changes are slated to be made soon after the roadmap is unveiled at the forthcoming IOHK Summit.

The Summit will be held during the month of April this year, on the 17th and 18th. We got a brief insight into the roadmap that will be launched then from the statement released by IOHK. The statement reads:

“The Cardano roadmap is changing. We will be launching an exciting new roadmap which showcases the Cardano 2020 vision after the IOHK Summit, which will be taking place on April 17-18. CEO Charles Hoskinson will outline this vision in his keynote speech and the roadmap will be relaunched with a renewed focus on this milestone. For the time being, we will be removing the timer on the roadmap page as well as publishing intermittent updates about important software releases.”

As detailed by the statement, we can look forward to a keynote address from none other than IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson.

Over the course of the last few months, Cardano has experienced a lot of changes in its organization. Many of the major founding members have unfortunately bid goodbye to the project, including Michael Parsons, the Foundation Chairman, who underwent termination in Cardano. After Parsons left, Hoskinson, along with Emurgo, took charge of the project.

In terms of market performance, it hasn’t been too great for Cardano as it has fallen short of what is required to make it to the list of top ten cryptocurrencies in the market, based on market capitalisation. Will Cardano be able to pull up its socks and bounce back with the brand new roadmap that’s on the cards? We sure hope so!
