Tech Mahindra Starts Training its Employees in Blockchain and Other Digital Tech

Tech Mahindra, the Indian technological spearhead and a branch of the Mahindra & Mahindra have started to train its employees in a number of futuristic digital technology like Blockchain, AI, machine learning and Cybersecurity.

The employee training program is being conducted in partnership with a number of education partners which include Pluralsight, edX.org, and FutureSkills.

With the advent and popularity of Blockchain technology and its various use cases, Tech Mahindra has set up an independent wing to encourage its employees to learn the trades of Blockchain development. The firm has also initiated various similar programmes to make the employees well equipped with the next gen digital tech.

Jagdish Mitra, chief strategy officer and head of growth at Tech Mahindra said,

As part of our TechMNxt charter, we are investing heavily in reskilling employees in next-generation technologies like blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, automation, and 5G,”

Partnership With NASSCOM Plays a Major Role in Moving Towards the Next-Gen Tech

The recent move to reskill the employees have been hugely complemented through the partnership with NASSCOM. NASSCOM plays a huge part in reskilling and training the employees in future tech.

Tech Mahindra is projecting to generate 50% of its future revenue from these digital techs. NASSCOM has been involved in providing training for a large variety of skills set required to deal with next-gen technologies like blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.

Amit Aggarwal, VP & CEO, IT – ITeS Sector Skill Council, NASSCOM, said,

“Companies today are prepared for the next wave of growth as reskilling, AI, automation, blockchain, and digital solutions emerge as the future drivers of the industry”

Apart from training and education partners, Tech Mahindra has also joined hands with a number of international universities like the University of Berkeley, University of Suffolk, University of Sydney and a newly-established Center of Excellence’ (COE) in Canada, in order to keep up with the wave of new evolving technologies.

These universities would aid the company with research programmes and experimental learning opportunities.
