If you are a crypto user in Germany, then you are in for a 5% discount on your drugstore purchases, if you are shopping from Düsseldorf’s Neon drugstore. In fact, you don’t even need to worry if you are a little far off from Düsseldorf as the “aphotheke” also sells online.

The Neon drugstore is quite in favour of their customers making payments through alternative modes of payments and especially crypto coins. Hence, they offer an exciting additional discount of 5% if payment are made using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).

However, bear in mind that these drugstore’s discounts are not meant for purchasing your prescription medication. You can however, avail of this discount while shopping for related toiletries and other pharmacy products that do not count as prescription medication. In determining the amount of crypto coins to be paid against purchases, the drugstore recommends that customers take a look at the prices listed on the Coinbase Exchange.

Its website’s price policy section details:

“For payments using the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH), we grant to these payment methods an additional 5% extra discount on shopping carts of all kinds, as long as they do not contain any prescription medicines. Who uses such a modern payment method, the Bitcoin quasi uses according to the original idea of Satoshi Nakamoto, should be rewarded with 5% extra discount. The reference prices of Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH) correspond to the current spot price of the crypto-exchange Coinbase. For details see www.coinbase.com!”

Besides the discount available to crypto users, the Neon drugstore also allows a 10% basic discount that usually cannot be clubbed with other discounts, with the sole exception of the 5% discount on crypto payments.

The Neon drugstore is clearly a self-confessed fan of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto and hence they have justified their discount policy by saying:

“Those using such a modern payment method, Bitcoin according to the original idea of Satoshi Nakamoto, should be rewarded with 5% extra discount.”

This exciting discount is expected to boost crypto adoption in Germany and inspire more people to use crypto in their lives.
