Craig Wright Gets Called Out By Wikileaks for His Dubious Claims, Again!!

By Prashant Jha

Craig Wright, the man behind the Bitcoin SV and more prominently known for trying too hard to impersonate the original Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, has been at it once again for claiming that he is the creator of Bitcoin.

In the recent turn of events, on Feb 8th, Wright in his blog post claimed that the invention of Bitcoin was not for the anarchy or going against the government’s, but a tool to enhance trading within the parameters of the law.

However, things turned ugly when the Wright called out Wikileaks and claimed that he is against such people and organization who use the technology to bend the laws. He also mentioned Silk Road founder and placed him in the same category of Wikileaks and said that he is not a fan of Assange or his methods.

Wright went on to state,

More importantly, I am strongly opposed to criminal markets and bucket shops. Ross Ulbricht and others like him are criminals.

Wikileaks Hits Back

Wikileaks did not take the words used by serial forger kindly and on 12th Feb they hit back at the Faketoshi by calling him a serial forger. Wikileaks mentioned that they have earlier busted the claims made by the self-proclaimed ‘Bitcoin founder’ to be absolutely false. One of the tweets read,

“Craig S. Wright is a proven serial forger of documents claiming that he is the inventor of Bitcoin,” “He has been repeatedly caught. This has been independently verified by WikiLeaks at the time of his first claim and subsequently.”

Wright Claims Bitcoin Was Invented to Work Within the Law

The February 8th blog post seems to have rubbed many the wrong way as the serial liar seems to change his stance every other day. Combine it with his cocky nature and you have got a perfect human worth disliking.

In the blog post, Craig claims that the Bitcoin was not designed as an anarchist system.

It was designed to allow trade and commerce, but in (sic) the limits of the law,[A blockchain] …does not stop government taxing, and it does not bring down banks. It was never designed for such a purpose.”

Craig is not among the most liked personalities in the crypto space and often a confrontational personality at social gatherings and crypto meetups. One of his recent antics raked a lot of controversies when he claimed to own more money than the whole country of Rwanda while being present at an event hosted in the same country.

Final Thoughts

There is a famous saying which goes something like, “A man is a slave of his habits”. This proverb suits best for Craig as the man does not seem to learn his lesson time and again. The recent war of words with Wikileaks is just another example of how being stubborn can only embrace you every time.

Craig Wright might have enough money to boast of being richer than a country but his lack of humility might cost him more than his fabricated wealth, who knows whether he is even near the mark he claims to possess.
