Coinbase has finally expanded compatibility for its popular trading platform, Coinbase Pro. The exchange’s platform, after unveiling its Pro app for iPhone users in October lastyear, has unveiled its latest Android application which is available across the globe with about 50 trading pairs. As indicated by the company’s blog post, the latest Android app will be providing Coinbase Pro users with a streamlined trading experience.

Coinbase Pro touts updates on Android to the already-available iOS app version, incorporating cryptocurrency as well as fiat currency (USD, CAD, etc.) withdrawal and deposit capabilities, and some additional security features. Not only this, the Coinbase has also updated its Pro iOS app to add these capabilities to it.

The Controversy

However, decentralized applications might suffer in the days ahead owing to the recent bans and restrictions. Recently, Google took Ethereum wallet and dApp Metamask off its Google Play application store, claiming that the application hosted “deceptive services.”

As indicated by a report on December 29, Coinbase Pro, as well as other decentralized mobile applications, might suffer under Apple’s App Store policy.

Brian Armstrong, the Coinbase CEO, said –

“Apple seems to be eliminating usage of dApps from the App Store.”

Some Other News from Coinbase Pro

Since Coinbase Pro iOS application opened last fall, the app has hosted significant trading volume. Over the last two years, Coinbase Pro has also included some digital assets to its platform, including DASH, ChainLink and Tezos.
