Cleaveland Cavaliers Team Up With Crypto Company UnitedCoin

Cleveland Cavaliers, a professional basketball team from Ohio, alongisde Cavs Legion GC, an associated esports club, has reportedly teamed up with UnitedCoin, a crypto firm. The development was announced via a press release coming from the NBA (National Basketball Association) on the 15th of July.

The objective of this partnership is reportedly to advertise and promote UnitedCoin and allow the Cleaveland Cavaliers an opportunity to make a foray into the fintech space by use of cryptocurrencies.

The announcement explained:

“The Cleveland Cavaliers and Cavs Legion GC (NBA2KL) have partnered with cryptocurrency blockchain provider UnitedCoin. The partnership will bring awareness to the UnitedCoin brand and platform, while providing the Cavs with a resource to capitalize on the burgeoning financial technology landscape.”

For the Cleaveland Cavaliers, a part of this new partnership will involve having LED signage inside the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse while the team is playing its games. In return, the team will promote the UnitedCoin as its “Official Cryptocurrency Partner”. In the NBA 2K, this would imply having the UnitedCoin logo displayed in the Cavaliers’ in-game home court. They will also take charge of promoting it via social media, according to details specified in the announcement.

As the press release further tells us, UnitedCoin involves a service that supports both crypto and fiat transactions via the use of ubiquitous facilities like phone or email. The company has also come out with a MasterCard debit card that has a dual functionality allowing both crypto and fiat transactions.
