China Releases its Updated Crypto Ranking, Tron Debuts Near the Top
The Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) has recently released an updated list of crypto rankings. A total of 35 crypto projects were taken into consideration, with Tron making a debut at the second spot. The latest release of crypto rankings was the 10th update overall and second update of the year.
The ranking list put EOS at the top, which has been occupying the top spot for some time. Tron made its debut on the list with the second ranking, dethroning Ethereum to the third spot. Bitcoin was listed at the 13th spot, climbing two spots from its last month rankings. Bitcoin Cash also jumped a place to occupy the 27th spot.
CCID Describes Tron as Highly Reliable Digital Asset
TRON which was released in the May of 2018 made its debut at the second spot. The center described the debutant as a low-level public blockchain with high throughput, high expansion and highly reliable.
TRON’s compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts also added to its cause. The center also pointed out towards the high active transaction on the network with over 200 dApps. All these factors combined resulted in bringing the evaluation index of TRON at 145.6.
What are the Parameters of Assessment
The CCID uses three primary indices to measure the ranking of any crypto project, namely,
- Basic technology
The latest assessment put more weight on the Creativity index than the previous updates. Among the most improved projects from the last assessment, Nano, Verge, and Qtum were the noted names.
The creativity index majorly focuses on the improvements made on the public blockchain which take the number of developers, code updates, and code impact into consideration.
The Basic technology index focuses on the technical realization levels in the blockchain and takes the function, performance, safety, and decentralization into consideration.
The applicability index evaluates the level of practical implementation of the project and takes the node deployment, wallet applications, development support, and application implementations into consideration.
