Coinsquare Ventures Into Europe

As per recently published reports, Coinsquare, which is one of the largest canadian cryptocurrency exchanges is expanding its horizons. The exchange will now be allowing European consumers to access all the services as provided by them.

The report says that the exchange will now be launched and thus be made available in 25 countries in the European Union. Further plans to grow its users base rapidly have also been revealed. The plan to carry out this expansion, which was initially announced in August has now been finalized.

The 25 European countries where the exchange will now be functional are:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and lastly the United Kingdom.

Coinsquare which was launched in 2014, and has made claims to be Canada’s most secure digital currency and trading platform currently has over 100,000 users. The exchange has a cold storage policy of 95 percent on all digital currency.

This expansion into Europe, marks the exchange’s first international venture as previously it had only been restricted to and available for Canadian customers.

Cole Diamond, the Chief Executive Officer of Coinsquare, was asked about the reason for choosing Europe as the company’s first expansion step. His statement reads:

“Given the size of the opportunity and our ability to offer something unique to that market, Europe is a rapidly-growing cryptocurrency market and the cryptocurrency community there is excited to have an option that puts security, compliance, and risk management at the forefront of its offering.”

Some of the trading pairs that are supported by the exchange includes the trading of BTC against Fiats like the Canadian dollar, the U.S. dollar, and the Euro. Bitcoin can also be traded against ETH, LTC, BCH (trading as BAB), ETC, DOGE, BSV, DASH, and XRP. Coinsquare also provides some services such as APIs for B2B clients, capital markets for institutional and family office investors, and investment management.
